What is Profhilo®?
Profhilo® is an award-winning, non-surgical cosmetic treatment designed to hydrate and rejuvenate the skin, promoting a youthful and radiant appearance. Yes, Profhilo® is generally considered safe when administered by Derma Beauty Clinic’ qualified and experienced injectors. The treatment uses a highly purified form of hyaluronic acid, which is naturally found in the body. Most side effects are mild and temporary, such as redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection sites. Ensuring your treatment is performed by a certified professional minimises risks and helps achieve the best results.
Profhilo® is not generally recommended for individuals who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have severe skin infections or conditions in the treatment area, or have a known allergy to hyaluronic acid. It’s important to discuss your full medical history and any current medications with your injector during the consultation to ensure the treatment is appropriate for you.
The Profhilo® injection process is relatively quick, typically taking about 30 minutes. Your injector will clean the target areas and may apply a topical anaesthetic for comfort. Using fine needles, Profhilo® is injected at specific points just below the skin’s surface. You might feel a slight sting or pressure during the procedure, but the discomfort is generally minimal and short-lived.
Profhilo® contains a high concentration of hyaluronic acid, which hydrates and revitalises the skin. The product works by stimulating the skin’s natural collagen and elastin production, improving skin elasticity, texture, and overall appearance. The hyaluronic acid used in Profhilo® helps to deeply hydrate the skin and restore a youthful glow by enhancing its structure and firmness.
Recovery time after Profhilo® is minimal. Most people can resume their normal activities immediately. You may experience mild redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection sites, but these effects typically resolve within a few hours to a few days. To support healing, avoid strenuous activities, excessive sun or heat exposure, and alcohol for at least 24 hours post-treatment. Full results become apparent over several weeks as the skin’s natural regeneration processes take effect.
