Once entering your clinic room with your injector, you will have a consultation discussing the procedure from start to finish. We’ll discuss your medical history and medication, treatment goals, realistic expectations, and how much filler you’ll need. During this session you’ll be given the opportunity to raise concerns and any other questions you have regarding the procedure.

Following the consultation we’ll allow a ‘cooling off period’ to reflect on your decision.

At Derma Beauty Clinic, we apply a combination of CE certified hyaluronic acid dermal fillers to the buttocks and hips. This is dependent on each individual case, and aims to create smooth long lasting results for each specific area. The Dermal fillers we use last a minimum of 3-4 years, with an 18 month top-up advised to maintain volume and shape.

Once the areas of injection are marked and discussed, you will lay comfortably on sterile sheets placed on our procedure bed, and rest your head / upper body on a memory foam pillow for extra comfort. We will thoroughly clean and sanitise your buttocks and hips with alcohol wipes and a pre injection solution, then inject a local anaesthetic to the area for minimal discomfort.

One to two entry points are made on each side to minimise the risk of infection. A minimum of 150 mls of filler is recommended for each side, and the number of sessions required are dependent on skin elasticity. Once localised, the product is injected deep between the fat layer and muscle. Injecting at this depth guarantees a lower risk of infection and increases the longevity of the product, as well as creating a softer, more natural feel. Once injected, a steristrip may be placed over the small incision with plasters / band aids.
As soon as you’re ready, you will be able to view your results in front of our floor length mirror.

The injector will inform you on your post-op after care and will let you know what to expect in terms of achieving your goal. They will also advise if you’ll be required to come back for any additional sessions. You will be given an after care bag following your procedure, which contains: antibiotics to prevent infection, arnica cream, gauze, antiseptic wipes, plasters / band aids, adhesive scar treatment, procedure & product notes and aftercare.
